Help, I Am Waking Up With New Symptoms In The Morning.
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

Since my dbs procedure one year ago, I did get rid of some of my symptoms but I did get some new ones and they are not nice. Was wondering if anyone is experiencing these symptoms and what you are doing for them. When I wake up the the morning my heart is racing and pounding, my stomach hurts a lot, extremely nervous with anxiety and all I think about is doom. Once I get up and take my PD meds, it seems to go away but comes back during my OFF times. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks… read more

Bean- MY ADVICE: Meet with your neurologist, specifically, to discuss "off" time. Meet and discuss moves to adjust medication into 4 or 5 , four hour segments(For exampe-7 AM, 11 AM, 3 PM, 7 PM, a nd bedtime, whatever fits your schedule, Break your carbidopa/levidopa, immediate and extended) down so that less time, particularly during the active hours-7AM till bedtime, fall into the "off" time categories.). Check other meds, if any, to see if they are contributing to duration of coverage of meds. I recently did this with my doctor and it helped me immensely .You may be getting too much dopamine into system at certain times of the day. I was but no more. And feeling better.
Here's my schedule:
7AM-1/2 C/L IR/-1/2 C/L ER-1 Rasagline-1Antecapone
11AM-1/2 C/L IR-1 !/2 C/L ER-1 antecapone
3PM-1 C?L IR- 1C/L ER-! antecapone
7PM-1/2 CL IR-1 C/L ER- 1 antecapone
Bedtime-1/2 C/L IR-1 C/L ER- 1 antecapone- 1 melatonin
Don't know if this helps in talking with your neurologist. Good luck!

I have feelings of great anxiety just before and after I take my Sinemet. I usually have to lie down for 15 minutes before and after the dosage time to get over the shakiness of it. I started taking CBD oil no THC and it seems to be helping me some. The static that is usually in my brain is gone. I hope this is helpful to you.

Sorry, I am not on here often enough. I wake up about 7 am, get up, pee pee, take meds. Then right back to sleep for about an hour. Sertraline is an antidepressant- take 50 mg three times daily. Rasagiline 1mg daily in am slows the breakdown of dopamine in the brain. Stay in touch

Hi Bean
As we age and get closer to later stages in life, if we have anxiety, it usually gets worse before it gets better. If you have had death anxieties....although u look very young...your fantasy life plays larger than life. If u have inward or environmental stressors, feelings can become overwhelming. I struggled with similar symptoms earlier this year with outset of Corvid running amuck, I lost hope for a few months and felt quite morbid. I talked all about my feelings for several months and my symptoms got less. Keep talking....until u understand. Pain and stress can cause all kinds of weird issues and feel quite real. They are probably not directly related to PD.
