You just perfectly described EXACTLY what I experience as well. I could have written your post, although you found the words better than I could have. My MDS thinks it is a form of hallucination that can come with PD
Yes, I sometimes hear what sounds like muffled voices. Usually it’s singing. I couldn’t understand the words, but I swear one Christmas they were singing Carols. I was in the shower. When I turned the water off the singing stopped. It’s usually due to a fan or an air-conditioner or something like that. Now it’s random music. Sometimes a symphony. I would say thats a blessing.
Ii can hear whole songs sung by men and women. Funny!!! I guess🥰 not

Zachariah, I enjoyed reading that. I’m glad you asked the original question. Now I know I’m not the only one. After reading that article, I realize it’s common, even has a name. I’m not sure I would call it a mental illness though. I like the word gift better.
