A noise in the house could be anything. Our siding makes noise if the wind is in the right direction and chairs will make odd noises that sound like someone shifting position or there will be a bang as if something was dropped when nobody could have done that. It's just the sounds of a badly built house. I wouldn't worry about it. Now if you start to see things or hear voices, then I would worry.

Hi Rosemary! Perhaps you should consider getting another cat. If you decide to do that I suggest you get a rescue adult, cat from a kill shelter. That way you know you are saving a life. Adult cats tend to be more mellow than kittens. I suggest you sit down and see which cats approach you since you really want a lap cat. Then you can put the cat on your lap and see how it responds. The staff can also advise you as to which of their cats are lap cats. I did that twice and both cats turned out to be very affectionate lap cats. Good luck.

One thing you can do is check out your perception with others. If they do not hear, see, feel, or smell the same thing as you do it is probably a hallucination. Or you can take a photo or video of whatever it is you are seeing or hearing and see if it shows up on the video.

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member, it’s been so long since I’ve seen anything from you. It’s good to hear from you. How are you doing? Very fine, under the circumstances, I hope. It’s probably my fault I haven’t seen you; I’ve been sick, and sick and tired of being sick. I haven’t spent much time online. I hope to see more of you.

As for hallucinations, I got up one fine June morning 3 years ago and stood watching it snow. It seemed absolutely real, but even in Michigan it rarely snows in June. I’d had a serious migraine for days, and hadn’t slept for days. I called my neurologist and she told to get to ER immediately. I learned that any migraine that bad which lasts 72hours needs emergency care. The treatment worked and the snow disappeared.
