Would it help with dystonia.?

It's been trial and error for me with the cannabis stuff. The only advice I got was start low and go slow. Good advice too as over doing it makes for a VERY uncomfortable experience. After sampling a few types of flower, vape juice, edibles and oils, I found a tincture that helps. They offered two types of THC only tinctures, uplifting and relaxing. THC alone without CBD seemed to help me best. I use one dropper from a 300mg bottle around an hour before bedtime. I can sleep for a solid six hours now before waking up and usually can go back to sleep for a little while longer. Other sleep aids make me fall asleep fast but I'm wide awake after three hours with no possibility of falling back asleep.

Small study and subjective, self-reported efficacy make me skeptical.

Study of medical cannabis for dystonia was 3.3/5, pain was 3.7/5, and quality of life was 3.6/5. The majority of participants (70%) also reported an improvement in sleep. .Consumption of medical cannabis in adults with dystonia improves symptoms and alleviates related pain, according to study findings presented at the International Congress of Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Society (MDS) Virtual Congress 2021,

I wanted to follow up on my experience with the cannabis products. It sems to be having an undesirable effect on my mood. Initially it helped me sleep, but as my body built up a tolerance I had to take a little more to relax. I noticed more feelings of apathy and depression as time went on. After reading about the CBD that Tommy Chong is taking I decided to try it out. I don't think it's right for me either. Even just a few drops had a similar effect of taking benadryl. After a few days I had very different outlook on things and became irritable. I'm going to put this stuff aside and manage tremors and sleep issues some other way.

I think I'm just looking for a fix all and the CBD seems new and promising. Just like any other medicine, what works for one person may not work for another. Well, at least I tried and now know. Maybe someday the cannabis stuff will be useful for something, but for now with relatively mild PD symptoms I'll set it aside.
