Has Anyone Taken Pain Meds While On Antipsychotic Like Seroquel? Mom Is Considering Knee Replacement But I’m Worried About Pain Meds And PD
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

My mom takes sinemet, Seroquel, and Gocoviry. I’m concerned with the rehab for a knee replacement considering the PD but I’m also very concerned with the pain meds they typically use causing very dangerous effects with the Seroquel specifically. The orthopedic didn’t seem phased by it.

I take Seroquel at night and I have a one in the morning. I also take hydrocodone when needed. I haven't had any bad effects from it.

As long as she isn’t taking Oxycodone. She should be fine. Personally, I’d avoid all narcotics.

I’m on the generic sinemet . I’ve had two surgery’s with the DBS and had pain meds no problem at all.
