If you are not driving any more, did you choose to stop? If so, why? Did a friend or family member suggest you get a doctor's evaluation to continue to drive? How did that go?
I chose to stop driving because I had trouble crossing intersections that didn’t have a stoplight.
I also stopped because in a couple of days i had almost caused 5 Acidants
I’ve had those episodes before and I agree they’re terrifying. I’ve never been terrified before that, so it was a new experience for me. I didn’t enjoy it.
Parkinson’s just keeps on giving.
I stopped driving on my own. My reaction time was getting slower, had trouble turning my head and I had several times not recognizing where I was suddenly. The episodes didn't last long but they were terrifying.
My neirologist said I mus stop driving. The reason is that I see red light at the crossing but i keep my speed up. I dont slow down, and in mili seconds my brain sa you have to stop now. That happens when i drive on the highwsy. I dont want to take a change to injure myself or other people.
My wife is usually doing the driving, but she is recovering frrom a back ooeration.
So at the moment I am dependant on family and friends.
