Any Suggestions On How To Communicate When In Late Stage PD And Can Only Whisper
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

My Dad is bedridden and weak. He is alert at times and wants to communicate but he can barely whisper. We try to ask him yes/no questions but when he looks longingly at you - he wants to say something. He is way beyond speech therapy helping and in his final days. Just wondering if anyone has a suggestion to try.

Thanks! We do the close eyes if yes sometimes. But we ask 20 questions and still not what he wants to tell us. We try to have him focus on one word - but most of the time we can’t understand him.
