Understanding What Causes Parkinson's
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm really trying to understand the 'environmental' factors that cause Parkinson's. I've never been around pesticides or anything like that. I've always worked full time in an office so I will start there. How many of us here have always worked in an office environment? Maybe we can drill down and find some common causes.

I worked with pesticides for several years my neurologist strongly believed that was the cause. But even then there is no way to prove it so. I have read Vietnam vets who were exposed to agent Orange have a high percentage of Parkinson’s among them. Small numbers have a genetic link and they is so much they do not know!

There you go. I tend to agree. Maybe we've been affected by our food.

I think the food we eat and pesticides have a lot in common.

I was told well water could be the reason for my PD. I used to drink it.
