If you'd like to know why your mouth gets extra dry, consider making a search by asking that question online. The answers are there. Biotene mouthwash is excellent for 'dry mouth'.

I had a bad case of dry mouth a couple years ago. I saw an ENT dr. and he told me to stop using oral hygien products that contain alcohol or are acidic because they destroy the good bacteria in the mouth that generates saliva, such products as toothpaste with peroxide and baking soda and alcohol-based mouthwash. He told me to try the Biotin products instead. They are all alcohol/acid-free. It took about 3 months for my saliva to get back to "almost" normal. Now I only use the Biotin toothpaste and mouthwash.

I know Alison4 said she has dry mouth. If it's just dry mouth, ask your dentist. He/she might recommend Biotine. I take it in the morning and at night and at least once or twice during the day. You should see some relief after a couple of weeks.

my mouth and eyes are very dry but I have something called Sjogren's Syndrome, which is an autoimmune disease which attacks the Salivary Glands. It sounds worse than it is. I take 200mg of Hydroxychloroquine once a day. My rheumatologist said I need to take this for at least 3 months before I see any relief. I have only been taking it for 6 weeks. I use a lot of Biotine. It is helpful.

I don't understand why but my whole mouth gets dry at night. I go through 3 big glasses of water each night. Anyone know why?
