I live in the 93012 area and have not as yet found a Doctor versed in this aspect of Parkinsons. They are not fluent in understanding the interactive issues with RX and the potential results which can happen when wrong. Note: Movement disorder specialized doctors, so far I have found, are not versed in GI complications.
Also the Parkinsons Association of Northern California (PANC). they have a lot of information.
Let's start out with getting the sad news out of the way- Presently, the only FDA approved therapies for non-motor symptoms in PD apply to hallucinations and delusions, low blood pressure and dementia

There are no local PD support groups in that I have been able to locate in my area. I’ve contacted a Parkinson’s.org ambassador for my region & he didn’t know of any either. Ideally it would geared towards Early onset, but coming up blank.
My question is have any of you started a support group for your town or county? I’m considering taking that on, but honestly I’m at a loss. Any advice would be appreciated.

Both orgs have websites and you can search for local support groups/chapters there. The Rock Steady Boxing website also has a search feature for gyms in your area.
I had mentioned the drug before which was a one pill slow release Amantadine which is called Gocovri, which is being used to treat dyskinesia It has been approved by the FDA. It is for those who experience side effects from amantadine now have another option. The second drug is Exenatide, a medication used to manage diabetes.
