Mainly Nausea And Insomnia...Insomnia Now Solved...Nausea A Lot But Controllable And Worth It

I do not sleep well. I fall asleep forty- five mins and wake up and lay awake. I fall back to sleep after a period of time and wake up every hour or two. Could my meds be a factor? I'm on sinemet, requip, azilect, and comtan. I use good bedtime hygene. Any suggestions, thoughts?

Are PDers Afraid To Take Sleeping Pills? If So, Why?

Are PDers Afraid To Take Sleeping Pills? If So, Why?

I hear so many Parkinson's patients complain about not being able to sleep. They may be able to fall asleep but wake up and just lie in bed and are unable to go back to sleep. This happens night after night. No sleep or not enough sleep cuts deep and can cause health issues.

What is it about sleeping pills that cause apprehension and resistance? Is there something to fear about taking a pill to sleep? Let's discuss this issue. Sterling

Has Any One Experienced A Noticeable Difference In The Effect Of Their Medication, Levodopa, After A Colonoscopy?

Has Any One Experienced A Noticeable Difference In The Effect Of Their Medication, Levodopa, After A Colonoscopy?

Seriously, here is the explanation. For as long as I can remember, 2-3 years, I have suffered from sleep attacks. My MDS thought it was probably a side effect of the Ropinirole (requip) so we lowered the dose. Had little to know change on my sleep attacks. I suspected the levodopa do to the observation that 20 minutes or so after I take it I am very sleepy. If I am idle, I will sleep, usually in the… read more

Has Anyone Tried REMfresh Instead Of Melatonin For Better Sleep?

Has Anyone Tried REMfresh Instead Of Melatonin For Better Sleep?

4 mg of REMfresh was suggested by my Dr. in a recent Sleep Study. I'm waking up more awake and 'refreshed' after 2 nights of trying it, but local pharmacies don't carry it. Does anyone know where to get REMfresh?

Does Melatonin Work For Sleep?

Does Melatonin Work For Sleep?

This is just something that happened to me which I would like to share. I sleep terrible at night usually going to bed at 12 and waking at 3:30-4:00 a.m. I tried the melatonin gummies which someone recommended. I tried them but they did not seem to work at all for me. But since I loved the taste I took them for three months and after about three months they finally worked. I could not believe it. Now I am going to bed at 11:00 and waking at 7:30 each morning. If I need to use the… read more

Sleep Problems

Sleep Problems

Having sleep problems including: not being able to sleep- going to bed way too late (12am - 2am). Waking up multiple times before morning (~1:00, 3:00). Waking up for the day between 3 and 5am. Having vivid dreams that have included shouting as loud as I can in my sleep and this week, falling out of bed during a dream. Any one else have this? Suggestions for how to cope?
