Go to www.azilect.com and they have a wonderful co-pay program with Parkinson's Support Solutions. With my insurance and the coupon, I got my cost down to $5 per month.
My question was going to be "Is anyone getting this medication from Canada or getting any help from the manufacturer to reduce the costs. It definitely put me in the "donut hole".
Yes, @A MyParkinsonsTeam Member You have to remember that my old doc had absolutely the worst bedside manner I have ever seen. The people at Azlilect said I would have to send them a copy of my 2014 taxes, which I haven't filed yet and there was a limit of my comparable income and the $ I had spent on the medications.
You know, I though I could tell the difference as soon as I started taking it. I have had to miss a dose before because of letting it expire on a Sunday and my pharmacy is closed then. My balance is quite a bit better when I am taking it. I used to get up in the mornings and have to lean against the wall to get my balance to get out of bed. I don't do that any more either. I am sorry that it doesn't seem to be helping you. Are you still taking it?
They are calling me tomorrow so I'll let you know what they have to say.
Is it worth the side effects?
