Does A Video Exist That Compares 'passing Out' From Low Blood Pressure As To A Person 'freezing' From PD?
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

For me, the caregiver, I find it hard to differentiate between the two. My husband has Low Blood Pressure from PD. When 'walking' from one room to the other, usually makes it to the destination (50-70 steps) he sits, has an awful stare for a few seconds without moving, then goes limp. After about 15 seconds he comes out of the stare and has no clue what happened.

Yes ABybee, he has. And I'm always 'pushing' water/liquids at him. And it does make a big difference. He does the sitting on the edge of the bed, stands to get his balance, unlock the walker, and off we go!! with me right behind him. Thanks!! This is also helpful for others to read as well. :-)

I had hypertenstion for years before being dx with pd now because of the upt dosages of sinemet (five times a day) i have been taken off my blood pressure meds al together . I do have a machine to monitor it a home. It was a issue for a awhile really low . I keep a close eye and have blood check every two month with doctor. I do also have kidney disease so it important to keep it in check

Wow Donnak!!! I can't even pronounce that!!! So glad for you that you have a solution!!! Actually, since my last post/question, hubby was to a cardiologist. And it was my daughter-in-law who put the correct 'name' to the dilemma!! It didn't dawn on me that he was having seizures(fainting) from the low blood pressure. Cardiologist found a slight murmur, told him to continue the meds for low blood pressure, discontinue the meds for slightly enlarged prostate and exercise at least 30 min. a day. He's not quite doing the 30 min./day exercise; more like 10 min. but he hasn't had a seizure for two weeks!!! What a relief!!!

I had a similar situation. After being cleared by my neuro they sent me to a cardiologist. I wore a Holter monitor for two weeks. Come to find out I have paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia. I take a pill once a day and have had no more incidents.
