Hi can anyone help please. My mum has PD and at the moment she can't settle in bed and keeps turning from side to side for the 1st hour or so. She keeps saying it's her legs so we think she might have restless leg syndrome. Can anybody help?
I also take ropinerole and it has helped with both my restless leg and cramps. Toes still do tend to curl under but not as often or painful. Saw improvement right away.
My friends Dr. told her to take Neurnrotin capsule or Gabupentin and put it in a small glob of hand sanitizer and rub it on where it hurts , she used it on her forehead for the shingles and low and behold her restless leg syndrome has not bothered her since, As long as she doe this, she has had RLS for 30 or more years. It helped her Shingle pain also. Strange but true.
I take ropinerole for my tremors but it's actually restless leg syndrome medicine.
My ferritin level is within normal limits. I get restless legs and for arms. It can be miserable. I've known I had PD for 8 years. I think I've had RLS my whole life.
One other response. I had severe RLS. It kept me awake all night, my legs jerking and twitching. My neurologist prescribed Gabapentin, for muscle relaxation, and it works very well for me. 10mg. 3 times daily. With my insurance is very affordable.☺️
