Has Your Oral Health Esp Teeth Been Effected By PD.

Ok my wonderful dentist was on of the first doc to say I think you have PD. Even before a neuro or some of the silly nonsens of Doctor not knowing I had PD he know. Last few yr my teeth have changed. Pain sensitive. And caps needed to done. Believe you me I take good care of my teeth but the clinching and gripping at night has really caused bug issues. Anytime else have this and what do you do. I can not wear a mouth guard I chock on it at night. Ideas welcome

Aloha. Let me join this club. I'm having dental problems too. The PD has blessed me with Tardif Disconesia. I got 3 ulcers on my tongue about 2 years ago. ( probably caused by " dangerously low" B12) the constant chewing kept the ulcers open and growing. 2 of the ulcers got so bad that they removed 2 pieces of my tongue.m in the process I lost 55 lbs.
About 18 months ago I had a piece of my tongue the size of a dime removed. They had been great for about 6 months but now I have 3 again. I have had 1 tooth removed 3 months ago and am waiting for Medicaid approval to have another. The Oral Surgeon says the constant chewing is cracking the teeth. He gave me a heavy duty mouth guard but I chewed through it in 2 weeks. I don't see any real solutions out there right now. My Dr gave me some Rx to slow down the tardif but for now that's all I have. That's not true. It's not all I have. I have a loving God and a blog full of people to say " me too" and " we care". Thank you

I had four fillings and one extraction before Christmas. I always looked after my teeth and didn't know why this happened. I have to swallow all day as my mouth keeps filling with saliva. I have found all answers to this question very helpful.
