Does Anyone Have Trouble With Being Dizzy While Walking?

My husband can't function because of being dizzy while walking. Sitting In a chair he is fine. The doctors say the meds are doing this, but this was happening to him before he was diagnosed with PD.

yes. I just started feeling dizzy while walking. I have PD for 12 years and this symptom just started. Going to the dr. next week to check it out. Might be the meds I am taking as I noticed when picking them up they were from a different manufacturer then i usually take. Dont know if that has anything to do with anything.

Have your husband to take three deep breaths before he stands, then take two more after standing, and focus on one spot to look at,then pick another spot walk to it and soon.this helped me,I hope it will help him..

As a side effect to meds I have low blood pressure and have had problems getting up. This has precluded me from kneeling at the altar in church. In general I was also told to get up gradually and sit on the side of the bed for a moment or two before stepping out.
I don't use an aid for walking.

It is called Orthostatic Hypotension and can be a PD symptom or a side- effect of medication as is dizziness!

My husband's blood pressure was dropping dramatically, like 70 to 100 points, when rising from a prone position. He is on a medication to raise his blood presser and one to help maintain it. He too was told to wait a few minutes before moving.
