I thought maybe just starting with some walking would help. But today I walked my son to the bus stop and wasn't sure I'd make it back. It's only 1/4 mile to the bus stop.

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member. HI Curtiss, i have the same problem of chronic fatigue. Especially now that I am in the 3rd or 4th stage of this PD. I also found out that I tire easily when the night before I had trouble sleeping and have to get up at 4:00 Am. I read somewhere that PD makes us expend so much energy in doing minor things like walking & talking that we are chronically fatigued.

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member. Hello Curtis. Generally speaking, most PDers have chronic fatigue. I'm thinking it has a cause that could be remedied. The endocrine system is what I believe is causing it. There are 10 major parts that make up the endocrine system. Any weak link could cause a problem with the functioning of all the other parts. Make an appointment with a Medicare provider endocrinologist ASAP and have your entire endocrine system tested. You may have to fight Medicare for payment of the testing but with your doctor's help and the help of your pharmacist, you can negotiate affordable care and medication that you may need. Living "half mast" is not easy. Don't settle for that. Blessings. Sterling

Thanks for that tip, Sterling! I'll have to contact my nurse practitioner at the VA.
