AFter both operations, my husband hardly has any tremors, less uncontrolled movements, hardly anymore leaning to the right, and can easily dress himself and eat .. his voice seems to have come back stronger too! Thanking God for this operation and the drs involved in giving him an easier life. I pray it continues....as I do for all others and those who have PD.

My hubs has completed the first DBS electrode implant early Oct and now will have the other side done Nov 4th....then after that the battery pack will be implanted...a long road with many trips to NYC Mt Sinai which means trains and taxis...$$$....but in the long run his tremors will be controlled and he will get off some meds! that means less side effects...he is doing well after the first surgery. The drs were so excited since he has the first new product made by St Jude Medical . We are hoping and praying this will give him a much better quality of life!
