A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

The MJFox foundation and 23andme is doing research on PD and genetics. They are asking us with PD to help out by having our DNA tested and by participating in a few questions about our PD. All this is free. please help by participating now. Thanks!

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member very interesting. They said in the information that I would get my genetic make up. I just sent it in, will keep you posted. Even if we don't receive our information if it helps in PD research I will be happy I participated.

My husband has early onset PD, as did his paternal grandmother. It has been recognized a few months back that he also has Lewy Body Dementia, and I believe his grandmother did too, even though not diagnosed. Our first grandson, the one in the picture with me, passed away with Gaucher's Disease at 13 months of age. People who carry the Gaucher gene are 5X as likely to develop PD as a non-carrier.

Maybe it is because of Monsanto and the hormones in our food. Just a thought...

Hi, I didn't need DNA to tell me that there is a great possiblity that PD is inherited...maybe just a weak gene somewhere in my background. 23 and me are doing the researc and they are working with my background and my DNA and yours too, if you want..
