I'm becoming a fan of the throat spray I mentioned earlier. (No, I was not trying to sell a certain brand!) I tried it because I remembered my brother using an "artificial saliva" spray when swallowing and speaking became challenging with ALS.
Handy, inexpensive, and readily available off the shelf at any pharmacy w/o prescription. I suggest it for swallowing, dry mouth, dry tongue, and voice quality.

My voice is also getting very weak and has little or no volume. I find if I do not exercise my voice it will continue getting worse..I signed up for voice lessons in May and they really helped me a lot.. I did not follow-up and do the daily exercises as instructed so I am right back where I started with very little volume.. I signed up for the big voice class last week in Traverse City Michigan and I can already feel the difference in my volume.. This is a good class to attend as it also involves a little exercise class which is helpful in opening up tour vocal chords.. Good Luck rick

I'm trying an inexpensive bottle of spray: Biotene Moisturizing Mouth Spray that seems to help dry mouth "thick tongue", clearing my voice, swallowing, and stopping my slurring.

My voice is very hoarse. Some days worse than others. My husband tells me I get very loud sometimes. I have problems with choking.
