My GP has suggested I apply as well... I am 55 with no insurance to cover doc's and meds... I was told to be prepared to be rejected a few times and that I'll probably have to hire an attorney

I never had an issue with getting social security. I had to see a psychiatrist and one other doctor. I was a dental assistant, the psych asked why I didn't feel like I could do my job and I said because I didn't want to end up in a patients lap.

I am 56 years old. I became ill September of. 2013. I last worked January 16. 2014. I have a friend who is an attorney but does not represent disability cases but he suggested I file immediately knowing how long it takes to go through the system. I have been denied a couple of times but now we are at court level. It's just between me and my attorney and the judge. I just got a court date almost 3 years from when I became ill. Thank goodness my best friends husband is an attorney and knew how long the process would take. If I became wellat any time we could just drop this. I know my attorney has already spent thousands of dollars on me getting medical records. I highly recommend getting a lawyer to help you through this process because it is long and hard to understand. Please say a prayer that mine goes through when go to court because I can never work again due to what this disease has done to me.
