With Rock Steady Boxing they are teaching you to use the muscles that you usually don't and can be effected by PD. We have stretching body muscles to warm up. Then they play games like kicking the ball to each others team members, shooting basket balls on the walls, running...etc. etc. Then they go to the real boxing. They use the punching bags, with the proper attire and punch them. Upper and lower cuts to use each set of muscles. Then maybe stair stepping or rope pulling. Then the real fun part, which most of them love, is actually boxing with the coaches. The last part of the class is lying on mats, lights off and music relaxing you. They do stretch movements to use the seldom used muscles. Like the goal post, superman etc. It is amazing to see the new folks improve. It's beyond imaginable and so wonderful to watch. Well worth the $80.00 a month. I enjoy watching the folks improve so much, that when he is tired and feels he doesn't want to go, I try to talk him into it and it usually works. Hope I have explained it ok. Go to the Rock Steady Boxing web site in the Woodlands Texas. That's where I went to find out about this class. Hope this helps you understand. You will need to buy a set of boxing gloves and the other set of gloves that you wear inside. We bought ours at Academy. If I could, I would spend all of my free time promoting RSB. That's how much I believe in it. Hugs.

I live in Norwalk Connecticut and pay $80 per month, at first I thought I couldn't really afford it, then I decided that I couldn't afford not to do it. Rock Steady is worth every penny.

Rock Steady Boxing in our area of Spring Texas costs $80.00 a month and that's for two classes a week. The things that you learn and the comrade-re cannot be denied. My husband is a tribute to that. Went from bent over using a walker to not using anything except his cane and only when he is tired. That was in just six months. He is pictured here with Coach Don. Hugs to you. Have added you to my team. Hope you don't mind.

As far as I can tell, each Rock Steady studio has different rates. I pay $100/month for 3 days a week. Absolutely the best investment in me and my health.
