@TamaraAnnMarshal Thanks for the good advice. What you said about being realistic made me think. Maybe I'm trying too hard to make everything the same and it just isn't. Sometimes just wrapping a gift is a chore let alone trying to find it. Being with friends and family is what Christmas is!

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member - Ditto! Ditto! Wow! @A MyParkinsonsTeam Member is so right! What a lovely saying! I’ve never heard it before either. But then I’ve never been a grandmother before, until now! Became a grandmother July 15, 2017 of a precious baby boy! He was born two weeks before our 30th wedding anniversary! Best anniversary gift ever! A grandson! But he’s 8 hours away, so YES! Thank goodness for Skype!

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member I love various saying and descriptive words....This one about grandkids. Children are the rainbow of life, Grandchildren are the pot of gold.. God gave us loving grandchildren as a reward for all our acts of kindness. Just love them and miss them so much. Thank goodness for Skype.

You try to participate and join in but if you are having a bad day with PD it badly affects how much you can enjoy it and it is a reminder of your loss at an emotional time of the year. But you just have to make the best of it as it is what it is.
