I Added 1/2 Pill 25-100 Carbidopa-levodopa To My Azilect To Help My Balance And Had Debilitating Side Effects- Nausea, Lightheaded, Dizzy.

Cutting back to 1/2 pill 10-100 had the same effect so I discontinued that pill. What other meds do folks take that has improved balance? I do cycle and Dance for PD.

I was taking 10 sinemet per day, 3 pramipexolee and 2 amntadine. About two months ago I started taking CBD oil I have been able for cut back to 3 Sinemat, 2 Pramiipexole and am off the amantadine all together. My tremors are basically gone . My “off” periods are Completely gone. My neurologist is amazed at my improvement Most doctors aren’t going to tell you to use it because th ey don’t know enough about it and don’t know how much to prescribe. For me it’s been like a miracle ddrug.

I initially was falling sometimes 10 times a day or more. There wasn’t a place on me that wasn’t bruised. Fortunately, I never broke anything. When I started on Rytary , my falling improved. It took a while and several dose adjustments to get me where I could sometimes get through a whole day with no falls. I went to physical therapy and worked with a therapist who specialized in Parkinson’s, and that also helped.
Then, for some inexplicable reason I went for nearly 10 months without one symptom! It did come back, though with a vengeance. In January I went to the specialist I see in Houston as a consultant. He added a new medication that had not been out very long called Nourianz and after just 1 week I felt like a new person! Or actually I guess I should say I felt like my old self! My husband was amazed! We could take the dog for a walk, and I could hold the leash without fear of falling. He didn’t have to hold on to me all the time.
I have lost some of my leg strength because we haven’t been able to walk due to the extreme heat, but we just got a recumbent bike so now I can exercise inside.
I have rambled long enough. I hope you are all masking, washing your hands and social distancing to avoid this horrible pandemic.
Until next time——
