I have dry eyes and have to put drops into my eyes 4 x daily Hypromellose 0.3 %Also Travatan 40 Mgms morning and evenings. Because of the tremor It is quite difficult to actually get them into my eyes (I live alone)
I also have Liquifilm Tears 1.4% to be applied once daily
Parkinsons can affect the muscles of you eyes so that it is difficult to control the opening / closing of the eye lids
My husband was prescribed systene for dry eye
PD can also cause not enough blinking, which adds to the dryness factor
My dad has a lot of problems with his eyes. He has Diplopia (double vision) and sometimes suffers from muscle spasms in his eyelids which make it very tiring for him to keep his eyes open. He has a prism fitted to his glasses for the double vision but he isn’t sure it helps. Eye drops and soothing eye masks give some temporary relief.
