I too have had pd a long time, 24 yrs. I have been having panic attacks multiple times a day, most often when I am in the middle of my medicine cycle. I go off within 1/2 an hour of my next dose. With the off time and the dip in medication levels come these horrible anxiety attacks where I am literally panting, my heart races, and my face flushes. Sometimes I ramp up so fast that I am unable to catch my breath, let alone slow it down.
4 things help: 1. my husband stands behind me, puts his arms over mine and holds me (the best for calming me down) 2. I use medical marijuana with high cbd content and hemp oil. 3. I sit in my recliner with my eyes closed, focus inward, try to cope and slow down my panting. 4. Take Ativan 3 daily, prn. (Least effective). When i’m Really having fun I get tongue thrust (I call it snail tongue) and feel like I might choke on it.

I have had PD for 18 years and depression hit me about 8 years ago I was having 15 - 20 panic attacks a day my Dr. Put me on an antidepressant called sertraline and after 2 weeks I was down to 2 or 3, after a month I was feeling almost normal again. After 6 months I tried to come off them as I had read they can be addictive but each time I tried the anxiety returned, if it helps I am happy to take it for as long as I need it.

You need to see a neurologist. I have anxiety that comes And goes also but not to the level of having to be medicated. And yes I occasionally have trouble coming up with the right word, but not bad. Good luck
