Rytary Problems
I was takings carbidooa/ levodopa 4 x per day 2 tablets per time. My off periods started to increase but weren’t unmanageable. Three mOnths ago I swititched to Rytary ( 4x per day total 340 mg per time), I have been worse ( inconsistent effectiveness, each day is different, more anxiety, sleep is worse ( not sure if that is Rytary or something else). I had no success with any PD meds DBS helped me a lot
My husband has been on Rytary for several years now and he just has been diagnosed with anxiety. After about 8 years of PD, some non-motor symptoms are setting on. He did have DBS surgery last year and has seen much improvement with those crazy “stiffening up, off times.” The Rytary seems to be working pretty well. He is off Entacopone and his restless leg patches which he used to wear 24/7. Less medication now after the DBS surgery!

DBS is great for on / off and less meds
Bless your heart. I’ve heard nothing but awful things about Rytary. A friend who also has PD was on it for 8 months, felt awful and got worse.
