Any Recommendations For A Nutrition,Diet & Health App For Android?
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question đź’

Looking to make adjustments to my diet based on nutritional content. Need an App that will list a breakdown so I can identify deficiencies and/or excesses, as well as select the foods that I like to make adjustments with.

- I also plan to take supplements, so if I can enter those into the calculations, that would be great
- It would also synchronize with their website providing better interaction with the data and nutritional information.
- Bar code scanning capability for easier input.

I find the diet one of the most important facets of PD treatment. However, I am learning every day. Mediterranean seems good in general.

Everyone's needs are different, for me I have been Keto since 2/27/18. It do feel a definite difference in energy level, rigidity and mental clarity. It did take a lot of research and educating myself.

The ap I use is My Fitness Pal and loved the Mediterranean diet (Beachbody.com).Lots of clean eating, water, and regular exercise with various types including yoga and strength training. I've read Tai Ching works as well. I fell off my diet and exercise regime thus less energy, more tired, and have lost the easier movement. I was diagnosed only a short while ago, but have seen big changes in a short period of time and not for the good.

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member - Did you use an App to help you with implementing your Keto diet? What foods would be suitable; help with calculating the ratio of Protein/Carb/Fat in a meal or for the day?

On the Keto topic, I'd like to take that topic elsewhere but don't know where / how to do that on MPT. Any suggestions?

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member - Agree on all points. I'm looking to make the change to a better & healthy diet easier with technology. I've got issues with Executive Function & poor Working Memory which make implementing this change all the more difficult. :-)

Thanks for your input. :-)
