I was wondering if anyone else has just issues with stiffness in their legs and feet. I take small amounts of Sinemet for this and it helps. It is the worst in the morning or after I sit for a long time. It is difficult to walk though. I have no tremors or any other symptom. I know I am very lucky and this could change any time.
I also wake up with very stiff hips and lower back. I wonder if I should take medication, or change my mattress!
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member Thanks for sharing it really does help. I often deny my PD because I also have Lupus and really would like to get rid of at least one of them. I wanted to share that I also have serious issues with my back and suffer from spinal stenosis. I had constant pain in my leg which they said was sciatica. I had 2 back surgeries..the second they did a fusion and installed some hardwarde. At this point I have to say that the sciatica pain in my leg is gone but I have constant pain in my hip and back. I am not sure I would do the surgery again. That is just me but I wanted to share it with you.
I have no tremors. Have stiffness, worse after sleeping all night or sitting for long periods of time. Trouble with balance, but only notice it when I exercise.
My right leg is stiff. Yesterday I nearlly fell for my feet did not want to move when I was walking to kitchen. I have ankle and foot pain, legs hurt and cramp. Hands will try to draw up in cramps at times. But I try to keep dooing stuff anyway. With the LORD"S help.
I have minimal tremors but lots of stiffness with leg and foot pain. Also have developed joint pain in my hands. Standing, getting out of bed, any initiation of movement is painful. I feel unsteady and at risk for falling especially in the morning. I continue to do my normal activities, try to at least. I pay later but it's worth it to me!
