In the latest LJ Ross thriller (The Hermitage) on page 240 one of the villains is in the later stages of Parkinsons and is reported and saying the following:

"When you are diagnosed, you're given a choice. Either take the drugs, that'll make the trembling stop alongside the other physical symptoms but be prepared for a mental decline. Or vica versa. Put up with the physical symptoms but keep your mind in tact for longer. I chose to preserve my mind, such as it is."

I am not taking any PD meds I am going all-natural I take restore gold I take Milano balance and I take organic CBD oil this keeps me from taken any PD meds with her side effects with their bad side effects!

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member, this theory could be as fictional as the book. I write "could be" as there may be people that have benefited from this approach, but my guess is not many. If only it were a choice between the physical symptoms or mental decline, treatment would be so simple. PD is much more than that.

As for me, my cognitive abilities have improved dramatically WITH medication. I'm sure there are many more like me.

This looks like the author's opinion, but isn't based on fact. C/L doesn't cause cognitive decline. Sometimes PD does, but sometimes it doesn't.

I took sinemet and had to stop even when they decease the dose. now i'm on requip.
