Should We Bring Up DBS To Our Neurologist?
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

My husband has PD with some cognitive loss. He is also on dialysis for end stage kidney disease. After his treatment his tremors are often severe. He is on sinimet and levo/dopa. I believe they are clearing his meds from his system
He also is only out of be for about 6-8 hours a day.

Hi DeeMorse! You need to discuss the tremors following dialysis with your Husband's doctors. Your theory that the dialysis is clearing the meds from his system makes sense. My husband would dehydrate easily and go through 'black out' spells...we'd end up in the ER for IV's. Eventually, the doctors advised skilled nursing care...my husband has been in a nursing home for over 7 years.
