I can't say that it helps with other PD symptoms (because I haven't quit using my other prescribed meds, but it has helped offset constipation issues. If I have 2-3 tsp of Mannitol (powder or the much cheaper granular type), in a cup of coffee each morning, I'm usually spared the dreaded constipation issues.

Google it. Research is being done on its ability to help with PD.

Well, I went online and saw another brand that was much cheaper. I don't know for sure that it works as well, but I am currently using it. It's not a powder; it's granulated like regular sugar. I'll look and see where I charged it on my card. Meanwhile, I'm sure that you can probably Google "Mannitol" and it will give you several choices. They do not make all the claims that Mannitol Powder makes. Good luck.

#Hojo, I have been using mannitol for about 18 months. I still take my PD meds. I feel better than I have felt in 15 years. I don’t have to rest as much. I have been ordering the powder, 2 bags, 6 lbs total. When I ordered last night I was shocked at the price increase. 1 bag costs more than I paid for 2 last time. I know that prices do go up but not that much. Of course the price gouging may keep some people from trying it.
