Hi bunnymer, can you give me a brief of your experience with DBS? How are you doing before and after DBS...what improvements you had? were significant, moderate or minor? Do you have to take some meds to prevent infection? still on meds for PD? are you prevented now from some activities like swimming pool, exercise? what about traveling (flights) with DBS. It is visible (wirings)? It works all the time? May help for shuffling, freezing? I don't know If you experienced it before but this symptom is driving me nuts! Thanks!
I'd be interested in knowing more about the stem cell treatment. I'm very familiar with how it works in joints, but not the brain. It's a question I'm going to pose to my neurologist on Weds.
