Definitely taper off slowly. Research DAWS (Dopamine Agonist Withdrawal Syndrome). It’s horrible.

I went to my doctor yesterday. He said it was his mistake for not giving me instructions on how to come off the sinemet. It should be tapered. I am experiencing withdrawals similar to coming off hard drugs like cocaine. He is going to keep me off the sinemet because he feels it has lost its effectiveness.

What is Mirapex ? I take sinemet by it self . I have been experimenting instead of taking 3 to 4 tablets daily I’ve been splitting the tablets in half I am taking them every three hours seems to be helping more with the off time experience less dyskinesia and I was wondering if I should add something with it .thankyou

I take both these medications, have stopped Mirapex for up to five days with no side effects. However the sinemet leads to more tremors and loss of balance for me. Hope this is helpful. LindaFrancis
