Home Modifications For Parkinson's Disease
Has anyone had to make major modifications to your home to accommodate PD issues? Are there any agencies or groups that provide financial help for home modifications? We are going to need an elevator in order to stay in our home.
Thanks. That may be an option. We live in a raised beach house so we need an exterior lift of some kind.
Look into a chair lift for the stairs. Acorn is one company that installs them. Costs but nowhere as much as an elevator. I have one and it does the job for me. Put it in after I fell down the stairs twice. In our house we have no room for an elevator, though I would like one. I like the picture of your dog. We have two. Good luck
We live in a 2-story house and put in an electric chair that goes up and down the stairs. I am thinking of getting grabbing bars for the shower.
Yes, I also do have a coughling problem.
Thanks for info
