My dad has Parkinson’s with dementia someone said they have a drug that’s for dementia, I don’t remember the name.
My husband takes Nuplazid for dementia for hallucinations.
The drug is LMTX...I will quote
"it allows patients to perform every ay tasks with no marked decline in brain function" It was discovered in 2016 and subject to medical trials. It may be available now.. You would have to check..
I have PD too and it is a sad fact that 80% of us will develop dementia. I am 73 and as yet I am ok .I hope your dad is ok

My husband started Nuplazid 5 days ago. Right now hallucinations are worse. Was told the first week to expect them to increase. Does it get better? I'm trying to keep positive and hope this is going to get better. Any suggestions? How long before you saw a difference? Thanks for your input.
Does anyone have experience with Galantamine which is used to treat mild to moderate dementia? I have recently been diagnosed with Parkinson's dementia and I am shattered. The doctor I have been seeing about my cognitive problems has just prescribed this for me. I am very concerned about possible nasty side effects.
The dementia seems to be progressing slowly.and has affected my working memory mostly. I certainly dont have hallucinations at this stage.
Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Terry
I've been saying that i take Galantamine for dementia....but nobody ever mentions that medicine....
