My husband fell. The MRI showed pulled hamstring. He was in so much pain. The ER doc prescribed 2- 5 mg oxy every 8 hours. He was so groggy. He couldn’t walk at all. Slurred speech. I lowered the dose (because no doc would call me back) and he’s much better. Should he taken ocycodonr at all?
It is likely to constipate him which will effect how well his meds work.

I have Parkinson's and wouldn't take Oxycodone withiout my Drs consent. I spent a week in Colorado this summer visiting friends. We spent almost all of our triip trying to decide whether I should try the mediciinal mairjuana. I couldn't get through to my neurologiist so wound up not trying it. I have never used this before and had no idea wha it wiould do mixed with my meds.
I don’t think he should but marijuana works wonders
my test will come next year when i have both shoulders replaced (second time for left dominant one which failed on firs op in 2016). neuro and Ortho are discussing doing both at once and then putting me in rehab for a month to lessen risk of PD being affected by too many ops and anesthetics and to be able to track and manage impact of pain meds and PD meds. I am in two minds.
It sounds like taking the Oxycodone might have adversely affected his PD.
