It has been shown that P D RAISES the opportunity by 30 percent for dementia. Again, fish oil, tumeric, caffeine. India has the lowest rate of Dementia in the world. It is believed that the curry in their diet helped. Tumeric has the yellow curry believed to be best. Caffeine helps clear and prevent the Cobb webs in the brain. I'm not a doctor, I'm a horse dentist, but I read.

I don't think it's common, but I can tell you that my cognitive abilities were impaired before my dx and they haven't gotten any better. Not sure if this is the same as dementia, but some days it certainly feels like it!
