Does Anyone Have Bladder Issues?
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am having problems with incontinence . If I don't urinate as soon as I feel the urge, I lose control and a few times had to change my clothes because of this embarrassing problem.

I have learned to go to the bathroom every hour and a half whether I feel like I have to go, just to make sure I don't have an accident . However, It doesn't work sometimes!

I know the day will come when my husband may need to wear them. I'm so glad they make them...I was a bed wetter until my hormones kicked in during puberty. NOT having them back then was a horrible nightmare ! Out of 3 children I had one that had the same problem. Pullups were awesome to have. My child just thought it was the normal thing to wear until he got older. My child finally grew out of it.
I read having Parkinson when a person has it for a long while their bladder may not work like it use too. How long did you have PD before you starting using Adult protection at night?

I find myself making sure I can get to a bathroom when I need it. It is sometimes very restrictive.

I suddenly get a very urgent need to urinate but if I continue sitting and concentrate on stopping I can hold it back until the urge goes away and then go to the bathroom to release it at the toilet. It took me a while to figure that strategy out.
