CBD oil does nothing for me. I need the THC so I use cannabis oil which melts under the tongue and tastes rather unpleasant, or dried flower and/or leaves, ground up and added to a chocolate brownie recipe which tastes rather nice. I only need a finger about 3" x 1" x1" to relax me and stop the tremors within 30 to 45 minutes.

I rarely use this during the day as it does affect my balance, but at night it is an absolute godsend. No insomnia when used.

I have not found it addictive and it does not appear to affect my meds. If anything, it enhances them. My neurologist is aware and while unable to comment, accepts cannabis as part of my regime.

Not legal in the UK it can be difficult to procure and the strength has been arrived at by trial and error. It can be rather expensive as well.

I understand why some people would not like to use cannabis due to it's reputation for psychosis and I believe that it has a detrimental effect on the teenage brain. I certainly would not use it if I was still driving. At 73, my brain is probably past it's best anyway.

I am in my 6th year of PD and waiting for DBS. Should have been at the end of this year but I think that is unlikely now with the pressure on the NHS from Coronavirus.

Good luck to anyone who tries it

CBD oil can be purchased online without a Rx. Wwp takes 500 mg CBD oil tincture 2 - 3 times a day. She administers the oil under the tongue and keeps it there for a minute or so. Helps with anxiety, muscle soreness and pain. It is now legal to purchase CBD oil in the USA. We buy ours at greenforia.com. Their products are of high quality and third party tested. #greenforia

If you google "cannabis and PD" there is a slew of great articles explaining the positive impact of cannabis on PD and current research being done.
