I was approved for state disability the first time becaause i went To my neurologist at the time. And asked her. So I could have a cognitive evaluation. That was in the early days when. They don't really believe non motor skills. Were affected that much. That psychiatrist. With a long way. In writing.Very eloquently. Parkinson's is doing cognitively to me. In other words, severely depressed. Etc. Etc. Godam nonmotor end. If you're not getting anywhere. The physical in. But my neurologist did write something. That I think clinched the deal.
Tremors affect manual dexterity, (computer, writing), imbalance causes fall risk, poor memory, unable to organize thoughts,Trouble communicating, cannot focus. Cannot mentally process. Cannot remember scheduled activities. Frustration. Anxiety. Sometimes panic. Multi tasking hard Parkinson's disease. Is a slowly progressive. Neurodegenerative. Disease. Without relapses or 3 missions." I have been on permanent disabilty since after teaching for 20 years..

It's easier process if you're over 55.but because it's a progressive disease and depending on your limitations you can get disability.
