@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member, I am so sorry to hear about your son. I have a 23 year old son also and cannot imagine what you are going through. To me the dbs procedure took a toll on my body probably since I was so nervous . It took a toll on my stomach. I was too nervous, not eating because of the knots in my stomach and then to come out of the procedure and turn on the settings, and see and nothing improved was very frustrating. I keep telling myself that it has only been four months and sometimes it takes longer to reach that perfect setting. I would have liked to see some symptom go away. Bean

I had a great response both times 68% improvement both times but the first time I felt way better. I have gotten so much worse in the past year ( my 23 yr old son died and it just set me back) this time my tremor is great my dystonia in my feet is way way better l. It doesn’t fix non motor symptoms or balance issues etc and I am so weak from a year of surgeries and recovering. I would not do it again as my emotions override the system. But when I’m happy it helps motor symptoms a lot

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member, you had dbs done twice, I give you credit for doing that. Once was enough for me. So far I have not seen any results from dbs. Had it done in December 2019. What do you mean it doesnt fix a lot of things? What did it fix for you, or not fix?? Bean
