My husband has dry scaly skin. He have been to the dermatologist, but they weren't really any good at helping him. So; I practically scrub his skin with a washcloth removing the dead skin and then I put lotion on him. His face and head gets it the worse
I don't do this everyday, the scrubbing I mean cause I don't want to hurt him and cause sores. Anyway, if anyone out there have something that you can tell me that will exfoliate his skin easier, please let me know. Like I said we have… read more

I agree, after you scrub your self down use either Coco butter palm, or as I use from time to time, coconut oil for suntanning. Or you can use alevera lotion in the suntanning lotion are.
This helped me, and I live in Hawaii surrounded by salt water, and that dries the skin too. Anyway I hope that this will help you

I had the same problem with my scalp. Dry, dead skin with sores that would bleed. My dermatologist gave me Ciclopirox Olamine lotion (it's expensive). Since you have seen a dermatologist, perhaps you tried this also? If you have, give it time as mine took at least 2 months for it to completely heal. I still get occasional flare ups, but it's 99% better than what it was

My wife has PD and has had for about 6 years. Has gotten worse in the last 18 months. She had a rash and her skin peeled from the bottom of her feet to the top of her head. T dermatologist put her on a salve called Triamcinolon to be applied 2 times daily. It cleared up after using it for about 3 weeks. Still a few rough spots but doing very well.
