Scholarships For Children Of Pd Patients?
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

My son just got accepted to UCSD, I am thrilled but am not able to work because of my Parkinsons. I did not qualify for disability .
Wondering if there are scholarships for the children of Parkinson's patients.

Thanks
Rachel aka proud mom

So are your beaches closed? Or...well you maybe aren't so close to a beach, at least not an ocean beach. My niece lives in wine country out there, and her husband owns a "classy" gentleman's club. Too high class for me; I wasn't invited to her wedding but I couldn't have gotten there anyway. I've been to the southern part several times, and even though it was "winter time", it was such a beautiful place out there. Truly gorgeous! I think you're blessed to live there.
Hugs,
Teresa

There are many different types of scholarships available; it just takes a lot of research. Is he athletic, is his grades high enough to qualify for a scholarship? There is a book that's entitled "Scholarships", I don't recall the exact title, but go online and do a search. What degree is he interested in? There is a lot of scholarships available, but there's a lot of competition for them. You should look into working for the University to pay for some of the expenses. Good luck

If that is your husband then the rules are changing and he can file a claim for tintinitis, etc and receive 1000-5000 a month if they can connect to his time in service.
