My husband has Parkinson's. He sleeps way too much. Sleeps about 18 hours in a 24 hour period. Is this normal?
I agree with the additional opinions. Also, my hubby takes depression meds every day. Helps with the down in the dumps stuff. Also, my husband does SO much better when he exercises. He also has a couple of coffees in a day as the caffeine helps him also. For exercise he does Walking, boxing, bike riding, chair exercises. Anything is better than nothing! His choice all depends on how well his day is.
I have Lewy with Parkinsonism. I sleep 12-14 hours then MUST take a 1-2 hour nap 2-3 hours after getting up, every day. My dr says not to worry about it, it’s all part of it
Yes my husband sleeps a ton
This is normal but I have a aid who gets him up by 11:00 cleans, feeds him then nap time AGAIN... He doesn't want to go outside anymore either. Awake after dinner and watches old time movies till he falls asleep
The Neurologist took my husband off the med for Parkinsons to see if that would help him not sleep so much. So far, not taking the med is not helping.
Yes. But his sleep is interrupted by legs jerking, etc.
