I have a tremor in mmy jawe which is very similar to the chin. I don’t have s tremor anywhere else
Sounds like no one is the same. This affirms my neurologist's statement of, "In the medical field we say if you've seen on PD patient you've seen one PD patient. Everyone presents a little dfferent."
I had a hand tremor, and also, when standing and doing things like cooking or feeding dogs, would shake all over. Legs, chin, tongue, hands. First neurologist said those were not Parkinson's symptoms, but when I saw a movement disorder specialist, she said they were. This disease apparently takes on many different forms.
Yes it is frustrating. It's like the Docs don't ask you the questions to know more about us, instead they are thinking what can I prescribe to cover THAT symptom up? Then we suffer more from being overly medicated and suffer the side effects!
Please ask your Doctor many questions when drugs are prescribed! And let's add our common sense, in taking drugs or NOT, to the treatment of our Parkinsons health.
I am newly aware of my actions and responsibilities in my wellness and I have lots to say to my Doctor at my appt in August and of course they will call if an appt opens..... blah blah blah.. up sooner.
I agree with your statement about Dr's. and their questions. and then finding drugs to fix the problem! That is so true!
