This seems like a crazy question but i needed to ask it
Does anyone when eating take a sort of big bite
I have been doing this and i am a little concerned
I never used to do that
Wondering if this is a Parkinson thing
A speech therapist is supposed to be the person to help you with swallowing issues. Ask neurologist for referral. Parkinson's Foundation has free booklet you can request on 'Speech and Swallowing'.
I'm with the rest of the team. I cut all of my food, even burgers and sandwiches into small bites. I have chocked before and I live alone.
I also only drink through a straw to avoid chocking.
Sad but true 🤔
Eating is a chore now since I also have no smell or taste but I'm happy to still have my feet on the floor. I know a cure is on its way!

I, too, have swallowing problems with PD and have had speech therapists working with me. The same one for home therapy for over 6 years. The main thing is the size of the bites, the smaller the better; always cut meat into small bites and chew thoroughly before attempting to swallow. In drinking take small swallows and drink slowly.
I always cut my food into small pieces now otherwise it can stick going down and then it comes up again or you choke which I agree is frightening.
Thats what i was thinking also
I have been trying to watch this
A crazy thing but with Parkinson you never know
