Anyone Ever Visited A Podiatrist For PD Issues? Was It Useful?
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

So, way down there in the list of symptoms that I rarely have time to complain about, are the grievances of Mr. Left Foot. His complaints aren't severe but are persistent -- I guess he does carry a lot of extra weight. As a result, I'm seeing some extra calluses and a slightly misshapen toe nail. I have some foot problems, but I don't think they are related to Parkinson's.
However, they are indirectly related. Parkinson's caused me to fall, injured my knees to the point of knee replacement and it also caused a broken ankle.

I've seen one lately who was no help whatsoever. He sent me on to have a test to see if circulation was OK. It was. They sent me on to see if nerves were working correctly. They were. I've finally diagnosed myself with arthritis. When I see my nero I'll ask to see a rheumatologist for a second opinion. So far the professional guesses have been gout, neuroma, and "unsure".
