Yes, when my husband was on a lot of carbidopa levodopa to control symptoms, he has dyskinesia. Therefore, he had the Deep Brain Stimulation surgery to help with his tremors and dyskinesia, which helped with decreasing a large dosage of Parkinson medications.
From Experience I know for a fact its true. The first nero I went to told me that C/l would nor cure me and would not hurt me. He said take it as I need it. I did for 2 years .I had dyskinesa so bad people thought i was drunk.I could hardly walk. I insisted that I go to the rehab hospital in Ogden a hospital that specializes in PD I told them that I need amanadine and they prescribed it and it keeps dyskines away. I did not have a dr. when i went into the hospital so I told them what a fellow parkie had taken amanadine. thats my story. the hospital kept me for 11 days. I was a mess. Hugs Rosie
yes i do think 2 much medication is not always a good thing as it create more symptoms.
