Parkinsonism V Parkinson’s
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

Is Parkinsonism a true Parkinson’s! I was diagnosed with this disease or disorder in 2020 after 30 years of Lithium and Psychotropic meds.

A family member was diagnosed with Parkinsonism’s recently, my hubby has Parkinson’s. I am noticing alot that is going on with this family member is similar to the earlier symptoms hubby had. Haven’t sent them in awhile, but am noting the vocal changes that are so similar. These aren’t just vocal changes but it indicates that the muscles in the throat and around vocal cords are losing strength and flexibility for speaking and swallowing check out YouTube for exercises and other info. Good Luck
